Explore the longest lava tube in Thingvellir National Park as you travel through the underground passages linking Litli Björn to Vörðuhellir. Located in the Golden Circle, this lava tube is 1100m long. For 9,000 years, this passage has remained intact, offering the chance to observe the rock formations caused by volcanic activity thousands of years ago.

Just an hour's drive from Reykjavik, Litli-Björn and Vörðuhellir are within easy reach of the main sites of the Golden Circle. Litli-Björn was discovered in 1987 and was considered a single cave until a passage linking it to Vörðuhellir was discovered. It then became the largest cave in Thingvellir National Park!

This caving excursion in Thingvellir Park is suitable for adventure-seeking beginners as well as experts looking to find out more about Iceland... Try your hand at finding precious stones, and take one of the most adventurous routes in the country! With the light of a torch, you'll make your way through these underground caves standing up and stooping. Most parts of the lava tube have not been geologically altered and have been preserved to maintain the authenticity of the site!

You'll also discover a number of fishing villages, including Ólafsvík and Arnarstapi, the splendid Kirkjufellfoss waterfall and Kirkjufell mountain... As well as enjoying Iceland's unique flora, you can also get up close to seal colonies on Ytri-Tunga beach!

On arrival at Reykjavik domestic airport, you'll meet your pilot, who will accompany you throughout your helicopter flight over the Reykjanes peninsula. Once the safety instructions have been given, you'll set off on your 80-minute adventure in the air aboard an AS350 B2 Ecureuil helicopter with seating for 5 passengers or an Airbus EC130 with 6 seats.

You'll admire the Seltún geothermal zone, the unmissable Blue Lagoon and the Kleifarvatn and Grænavatn lakes before landing on the unpredictably active volcano.
